Ellen is a Licensed Professional Counselor from Chippewa Falls, WI and a member of the Hakes Wellness Solutions team. Ellen has always had a passion for helping and giving back to those who serve and protect. Her passion first sparked when listening to stories from her grandfather who served in World War II. She became driven to do whatever she could to support veterans. While in school to complete her master’s degree in mental health counseling, Ellen began working at the Eau Claire County Jail and became more experienced with correctional officers and law enforcement. She observed firsthand the amount of burden and overwhelming stress that these professions take on in an often ‘thankless’ world. As a fiancé to a veteran Marine Military Police Officer, and a friend to countless law enforcement spouses, she understood quickly how her calling could be utilized to support those that give so much back to us. Ellen is honored and humbled to support law enforcement officers, correctional officers, firefighters, veterans, dispatchers, emergency medical professionals and their family members. Ellen is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
